Core RPG versions and updating

Asset Store release: 1.0.0#

Core RPG 1.0.0 was released on 14 August 2026. The Unity listing names 6000.5.5f1 as its original Editor version. View the official listing.

For the exact contents and dependencies of your download, use its included README and changelog. The handbook also covers development work, so a component described here may be newer than your installed package.

Development build#

Current work includes server-authoritative multiplayer, authentication, character persistence, World Forge integration and streamed-world gameplay placement. These pages describe that build where marked; they are not a patch list for Asset Store 1.0.0.

Checksum verification and save-recovery changes are still marked Unreleased. Crafting and Achievements are marked Coming Soon. The minimap background is currently a static placeholder. The streamed DemoIsland does not yet provide a supported fishing-occurrence adapter; use the scene-based fishing example in the Fishing guide.

Before updating#

1. Back up the project and a copy of any saved characters.
2. Read the incoming package’s requirements and migration notes. Use its supported dependency versions first.
3. Keep item, quest, world, placement and character IDs stable. Renaming a display label is different from changing an identity.
4. Avoid duplicate standalone and Core-bundled Movement or World Forge assemblies.
5. Run project and player-composition validation, then check the host, a separate client, interactions and reconnects.
6. For streamed worlds, rebuild matching role catalogs and target-specific bundles after content changes. Don’t edit hashes to combine mismatched exports.

If your installed version doesn’t match a guide, send the package version, Unity version and missing menu or field.
